Growing up means facing more moments that require courage, from trying something new and speaking up for yourself to navigating friendship challenges, school pressures, mistakes and growing independence. Brave Backpack helps children discover that being brave doesn’t mean feeling fearless. It means recognizing what helps you feel strong and taking action even when something feels hard. This directly supports October’s Grow Your Courage focus on building confidence and resilience.

In this interactive class, children will explore what courage looks like in everyday life while identifying the strengths, people, thoughts and strategies they can rely on when they feel nervous, uncertain or discouraged. Through engaging discussion, games, movement and hands on activities, they’ll practice positive self talk, asking for help, managing uncomfortable feelings and making brave choices that build confidence from the inside out.
