Big feelings are a normal part of growing up—but they don't have to feel overwhelming. As children move through the upper elementary years, they're learning to navigate more complex friendships, growing independence, increasing academic expectations, and bigger emotions. My Heart Compass gives children the confidence and practical tools to better understand themselves and respond to life's challenges with resilience.
In this interactive class, children will explore how emotions influence their thoughts, choices, and relationships while developing essential social-emotional skills like self-awareness, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and responsible decision-making. Through engaging discussion, games, movement, and hands-on activities, they'll learn to recognize what they're feeling, understand what their bodies are telling them, identify what they need, and choose healthy coping strategies before emotions take over.
Each child will create a personalized Heart Compass—a beautiful, interactive keepsake designed to help them pause, reflect, and answer four simple questions:
